Despite being ranked, Ohio State has fired Jim Tressel and will hire TCU Coach Shane Alexander. The Buckeyes underachieved all year, going 7-4 and with pending NCAA violations to come.
Tressel will coach the bowl game and then the program will be handed over to Alexander.
It was widely assumed that Alexander would take over for Oklahoma, but OSU snagged him at the 11th hour.
NEW Ohio State Coach Shane Alexander will sign a 3 year contract.
